Autoscript, the world's leading teleprompting
company, today announced that it will supply six "WinPlus News" software
and XBOX" USB external prompting devices to BBC News Gathering.
The prompting systems will be used to equip a range of satellite trucks
used by live news anchors on location and be linked back to the
newsroom's central electronic news production system (ENPS).
WinPlus News software is extremely powerful and versatile prompting
package and is the choice of newsrooms worldwide. By combining it with
an XBOX USB, and lightweight eight-inch TFT monitors, portable prompting
that is compatible with all leading newsroom systems becomes a
straightforward proposition.
"The ENPS installation at the BBC is the largest broadcast newsroom
operation in the world," said Brian Larter, Managing Director,
Autoscript UK. "The increasing need to feed that operation with fast,
reliable technology in the field is part and parcel of what we provide
at Autoscript. We are extremely pleased to have earned their
confidence."
