Everyone else can “Just keep talking”.
AMSTERDAM, 7-11 September, IBC 2007 – Autoscript, the world’s leading teleprompting company, will enter IBC stronger than ever in its first co-exhibition with sister company Vinten on IBC Stand 9.440.
Following tradition, Autoscript will further extend its global leadership by showcasing multiple award-winning prompting products, including the acclaimed voice-activated prompting system "VoicePlus", developed in conjunction with subtitling and captioning specialists Sysmedia, and designed as an add-on to Autoscript’s acclaimed WinPlus software, which resides in more newsrooms worldwide than any other system of its kind, and now supports major European languages.
“ClockPlus”, already honoured as one of the best new products of 2007, is a powerful new LED SMPTE/EBU timecode display which includes the added feature of changing colour from green to red when a suitable Tally input is applied. The 2.25-inch tall, six-digit on-air time or countdown clock face interfaces seamlessly with studio timecode and retrofits specifically to the Autoscript TFT range.
After an impressive debut last year, IBC-TV will again this year take advantage of true daylight readability by using Autoscript’s High-Brightness 1500cd 8-inch TFT on-camera monitor. The 8-inch units are exceptionally versatile and popular prompters for location shooting, hand-held Steadicam requirements and small jibs. Additional High-Brightness on-camera units are available and will be on shown in 12, 15 and 17-inch sizes.
Also featuring at IBC are “W17” and “W17 HD/SD” monitors, which are designed to work with Autoscript’s broadcast TFT-17 and TFT-20 on-camera prompters to provide seamless flexibility and functionality. The multi-format W17 auto-senses NTSC, PAL, SECAM, S-Video, DVI-D and VGA while the W17 HD/SD also auto-senses SDI and HD-SDI. With these monitors Autoscript has addressed all of the mounting, power, viewing angle and format issues conventionally associated with on-air talent monitors.
For use with a laptop, "XBox USB" is an external mains/battery-powered enclosure enables Autoscript’s “WinPlus News” software to be controlled by an unlimited number of local or remote speed controls.
Brian Larter, Managing Director, Autoscript UK, said, “The fact that so many of our products have already been acclaimed as innovations that work has further strengthened our hold on the global market. That, coupled with co-exhibitor status with Vinten as part of the Vitec Group - the world’s longest-serving broadcast equipment manufacturer and supplier – can only foster further innovation and galvanise our position as the world leader in teleprompting.”
Rounding out Autoscript’s IBC offering are “GoPrompt 12”, and “GoPrompt 15” both - when coupled with Vinten’s “Vision iScript” system - become self-contained, completely wireless prompting systems that feature high-brightness screens designed to bring studio-standard readability to field operations. True studio prompting can be done in the field without the need for laptops or other unnecessary intrusions.
